Missed Cohort 10? Do Not Wait Four Weeks to Fix Your Search
A closed cohort creates a timing constraint, not a career constraint. There are useful routes you can start now — but only after you know what is actually broken.
A common reaction to missing a cohort is to wait for the next one and keep applying exactly the same way in the meantime. That is usually the worst use of the gap.
If the problem is still unclear
Do the diagnostic first. You do not need to buy anything to learn whether the first leak is Capacity, Supply, Representation, Aim or Conversion.
If the gap is the work itself
If you are not yet confident you could do the job once hired — either the occupational skill, or working unsupervised across time zones — that is Capacity, and it is the one thing a better CV cannot compensate for. Stages 1 and 2 exist for the remote half. The occupational half you build before you apply, not after.
If you need the curriculum but not the live room
The Self-Learn Pack contains Stages 1–4 at your own pace. It is useful for someone who can work without a fixed evening schedule and does not need a facilitator to create the accountability.
The limitation matters: self-paced is cheaper because you are carrying more of the execution yourself.
If you are already hireable and the gap is time
Do not buy twenty sessions just because they exist. If the assets are already strong and you simply cannot source, tailor and submit consistently around a demanding job, Done-For-You Application is the more direct route.
If interviews are already happening
Stop treating the beginning of the pipeline as the problem. Review interview evidence, salary handling, stories, remote-work answers and what changes between first call and final decision.
If you want the next live cohort
Use the waiting period to arrive stronger: build the tracker, collect the last thirty days of evidence, run the CV scan, choose a target role family and keep a folder of real job adverts. The next cohort is more valuable when it does not spend its first week reconstructing what you have been doing.
The point of ERJ's ladder is not to give everybody something to buy. It is to prevent a closed date from becoming a reason to do nothing.
