Bring One Advert: Preparing for the 24 October Application Clinic
The free Application Clinic is live on Zoom on Saturday 24 October at 4:00 PM WAT. One week out, here is how to arrive with something we can actually work on.
The next free Application Clinic is on Saturday 24 October at 4:00 PM WAT, live on Zoom. You bring your CV and one remote job advert you genuinely want. We look at where the search is breaking down and what to fix first.
One week is enough time to prepare properly. Here is what that means.
Choose the advert carefully
Pick a role you would accept, could honestly do, and could legally be hired for from where you live. Not your dream role and not a random one. The more real the role, the more useful the session is to you.
Check the location line before you bring it. A great deal of clinic time is lost to adverts that were never open to the applicant.
Bring the CV you actually send
Not the version you are planning to write. The one that has been going out. The point is to see what employers have been seeing.
Write down three numbers
Roughly how many applications you have sent in the last month, how many humans replied, and how many interviews followed. Even approximate numbers make the diagnosis faster than any description.
What happens after
The session uses the Five-Finger Model — capacity, supply, representation, aim and conversion — to find the earliest failing point. After Zoom, the work continues in daily Audit Rounds in the Clinic WhatsApp group, one real application at a time.
Registration is free and is there for reminders and your personal join link. It is on the Clinic page.
